Contracting Staff and Services

A sustainable non-profit organization will, when working with contracted staff and services:

• Develop and consistently follow a process for recruiting, selecting and evaluating contracted staff and services;
  
  
• Ensure that contracted staff fit the definition of contracted versus employed staff;
  
  
• Deliver well-defined contracts;
  
  
• Has a mechanism in place to orient contracted staff and services to organizational values and culture; and
  
  
• Has a mechanism in place to ensure contracted staff and services comply with required policies.
